JOIN THE LIAA BOARD
LIAA is stronger when you are part of the action! If you are interested in engaging more with the Lauder alumni community, this is your chance.
There are seven at-large Alumni Term Directors (ATDs) on the current LIAA Board. We are holding elections for three ATDs to begin their two-year terms in June 2026.
Since we have a global alumni base, two of the LIAA Board’s seven Alumni Term Directors must be resident outside of the United States at the time of their election. For the term beginning June 2026 at least one of the newly elected Directors must live outside the United States.
The LIAA Board seeks your skill set to contribute to the Lauder community as a Board Member. Competencies we especially welcome include:
Marketing / social media
Event planning
Analytics
Finance (budget management, financial institution oversight)
Legal
As a Board, we focus on deepening the connections across generations and regions through community building, creating opportunities for professional networking and development, and lifelong learning. There are standing board committees and opportunities to work on special projects.
There is no need for previous Board experience. We are a learning board where incoming Alumni Term Directors have the opportunity to gain board experience to then serve on other boards. Please note we do behave as a professional non-profit board, taking our roles of governance and time commitments seriously.
The LIAA and its Board of Directors
LIAA's mission is to build and support an engaged, thriving and sustainable global Lauder alumni community, including the Institute and students, across industries, geographies and classes through lifelong learning, networking, affinity groups and other vibrant, engaging events.

Implementing the long term strategy as provided for in LIAA’s Operating Model
Ensuring the LIAA’s long-term sustainability at both a leadership and financial level
Participating on Board Committees either as Chair or member to drive projects forward, especially the SAE Committee as we start planning for the Lauder Immersion weekend in Summer 2027
